About Marc Klein

Marc Klein is the writer of the romantic comedy classic, Serendipity (starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale), A Good Year (directed by Ridley Scott), Mirror, Mirror, (starring Julia Roberts) and the adaptation of the best-selling novel, The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing (retitled: Suburban Girl) which he also directed.

Klein has done uncredited rewrites on films for every major Hollywood studio, among them: Made of Honor, Dear John, Immortals, Safe Haven, The Crow, The Best of Me, and the upcoming adaptation of Lin Manuel Miranda’s musical, In the Heights.

Klein has also written for television, and has developed pilots for Amazon Studios, ABC Studios, and Fox Television. Klein has most recently adapted Alyson Richman’s New York Times best-selling novel, The Lost Wife, which will begin production in the Fall.

Klein resides in Los Angeles.
